Total Chlorine Sensor

Total chlorine refers to the total concentration of chloride ions and free chlorine present in the water. The total chlorine electrode is an electrode used to measure the total chlorine concentration in water. Its principle is based on the electrochemical reaction of chloride ions and the electrode surface. Total chlorine electrodes usually consist of a silver electrode and a reference electrode. During measurement, chlorine ions react with the silver electrode to generate chlorine gas, and at the same time generate an electric potential on the reference electrode. By measuring the change in potential across a reference electrode, the total chlorine concentration in the water can be determined. Total chlorine electrodes are widely used in water treatment, environmental monitoring
